Synergy

Our program is founded on what we call PWR Synergy, or Pay-a-little, Work-a-little, Receive-a-lot. Here’s our formula for a mutually beneficial collaboration:

Pay-a-little:

• Enrolment in the Alaka’i Experience program.
• A contribution towards meals.

Work-a-little:

• 4 hours of service per day, 5 days a week, for a total of 4 weeks.

Receive-a-lot:

• The Alaka’i Experience course during all 4 weeks.
• 2 days off per week.
• Breakfast and dinner at Los Gaianos.
• Lodging at Los Gaianos.
• A fun and uplifting community experience.
• Support for activities in your free time.

Capacity

We enroll 4 new participants every week, one for each of our 4 teams: Housekeeping, Kitchen Crew, Happyness Facilitators and the Creators teams.

A Typical Day At Los Gaianos

7 to 8am: Yoga/Early Tasks
8 to 9am: Breakfast
9 to 10am: Alaka’i Session
10 to 2pm:  Most Tasks
2 to 6pm: Lunch and Free Time
6 to 7pm: Alaka’i Session
7 to 8pm: Free Time/Yoga/Media Project
8 to 9:30pm: Dinner
After 9:30pm: Evening Activities
